Maureen Hammond is a Scottish Illustrator from Badenoch, Inverness-Shire graduating BA Hons (Illustration) from Edinburgh College of Art in 1995.
A Gaelic speaker, her creative work has included art therapy with patients in palliative care, Artist in Residence for a Museum and working with vulnerable children in conjunction with Children 1st. As well as undertaking private and commercial work, she has exhibited in Scotland, Ireland and Germany.
Maureen graduated M Litt in Highlands & Islands Culture from the University of the Highlands and Islands in 2014, and commences an AHRC funded PhD in October '16, researching the textile collection at the Highland Folk Museum, Newtonmore, in conjuction with Highlife Highland and UHI.
